Flower:    Large single or double blooms come in white, pink, purple, and blue throughout July, August, and September

Foliage:    Dense, upright growth; dark green leaves with no fall color; available as a shrub or tree

Pruning:    Remove old branches in winter for best flowering; each branch can also be trimmed back to two or three buds in early spring to help shape shrub and increase blooms

Deer Resistant:    Rarely significantly damaged
